Georg Scherlin
Georg Scherlin is a visual artist based in Berlin. His work is based on translation and repetition. In his artistic practice, he observes everyday situations, social conventions of people and places and codes of communication. Through a diverse range of tools he re-assembles his notes and recordings into videos, sculptures and interactive installations. His work is playing with the idea of a narrative, creating moments that are located somewhere between fiction and reality. He received his master’s degree in MultiMediaArt from the University of applied science in Salzburg, Austria. Georg is founding member of kont.txt, an artists collective for vj-ing and interactive installations in galleries, clubs and festivals around Europe.
