Stig Anton Nielsen
Stig Anton Nielsen is Architect, PhD student, and researcher. His research attempts to combine notions from philosophy, artificial intelligence, robotics as well as material and non-material computation, in order to manage and modify the existing build environment. In 2008 he received his Master of Architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Copenhagen.
In the years 2008-2012 he worked both at the at the Danish architecture office COBE, as well as the internationally renowned research Center for IT and Architecture (CITA). He has been teaching at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Chalmers University of Technology, and hosted several international workshops on physical computation. In 2012 he started his PhD research project at Chalmers University of Technology, Dept. of Architecture. In addition to his PhD, Stig is consulting F&P Personal Robotics, and he was recently Guest Researcher at the Chair for Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) at ITA, ETH. Together with Anton Savov and Oliver Tessmann he contributes to this year's Node festival with an interactive architectural installation called "Sensitive Assembly".
